As a member of the Board of Directors, and mentor to youth in the program, an integral part of Trends is the development of leadership skills in its female youth. The members showcased more than just beauty as they navigated the ins and outs of creating, organizing, and fundraising for the fashion show. The overarching theme across the various workshops, field trips, seminars, and projects is the empowerment of young women to think, act, and dress in a manner that embraces and therefore exudes confidence.
